Louder Than a Bomb-Tacoma

UPDATE: For the LTAB-Tacoma 2017 schedule, click here.

Louder Than a Bomb-Tacoma: The Tacoma Teen Poetry Festival is an annual teen team poetry slam event that features poets ages 13-19 from schools and community organizations all over the South Puget Sound.

Our first competition, held in April 2016 at Tacoma Community College, featured four teams: Surround Sound (Gig Harbor), Epigenetic Consciousness (TCC Fresh Start), Slammin’ Rams (Wilson High), and Baker Middle School. Over 30 poets performed to an audience of over 150 people!

“I really liked the community feel of LTAB. It was overall a great experience that I look forward to next year.”

We will bring LTAB-Tacoma back in 2017. In the meantime, check out the event on Twitter (@LTABTacoma) and Facebook.

“I have never seen any young poets respond so courteously and deliberately to the work of their peers. The poets were able to express themselves through a new and challenging medium. I have nothing but positive things to say.”

– LTAB 2016 Coach
